will be staying Pham Ngu Lao Street, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, Dist 1,Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.
Any ideas, anywhere nearby I can get glass beads for art and craft. Best if they are supplier.
AS a regular traveler to Vietnam, I have rarely seen places selling glass beads. There are a few, but not many.
Cambodia, however, is a different story. All the markets have many stalls selling glass beads.
People in Vietnam are very industrious. I would say categorically that if you speak to your hotel staff or the vendors in the markets you will be pointed in the right direction to find a person that makes them from home.
Baring in mind the basic wage in VN is on some $45 a month, if you do the right thing with a home producer, they will enlist others to make the same and you have not only a cheap supply of beads, but will also be helping what would otherwise be an impoverished family.
