My pond water turned green... help?
its a 25gal fish pond, with 2 golden orfe, 2 goldfish koi, and 2 butterfly carp koi. i had a filter used for a 23.5gal tank wouldnt that be fine?
and dont start going OMG they will outgrow it. cos they are like 2 inchs long, (1 is 4 bu thats the butterfly koi,it has a massive tail.)
because i have a 350litre pond ready for them in my garden for when they grow, the big pond stays crystal clear even without a filter (i have a pump and areater thingy)
so whats wrong with it? recently its been raining alot... could that be the reason why its green? also what should i do with the baby golden orfe i found in the pond? they are like 1.5 cm long lol.
The fresh water triggers algae growth. You can go to Lowes or most hardware stores that handle pond supplies and get some algae killer.
