A look at what is currently available on eBay
Should I sell my vintage handbags on etsy or ebay?
I have a huge collection of vintage jewelry and handbags , where could I earn more money and or each more buyers ? etsy or ebay
I love etsy, but I also love ebay, i guess the main difference is etsy doesn't charge you as much to list it or take as much of a cut as ebay (if etsy takes a cut at all? i dont remember. they may just charge listing fees?).
Also with etsy you can set the price you want to get for your items, and it's less hassle than dealing with tons of bidders(yes yes i know buy it now exists), and possibly deadbeat bidders on ebay. I rarely see deadbeats on etsy! so far, anyway.
Etsy seems to be more the place to sell your vintage items, unless you have something that you know is rare & valuable but don't know much about, and you want to get the highest price for it, in which case a bidding war on ebay might be just the thing. 
I usually try to search completed listings on ebay to see what other people have sold similar items for.
And I just think it's fun that on Etsy you can see who hearts your items and your shop!
