Will a regular jeweler set a moissanite stone in a regular engagement ring setting?
My boyfriend and I are shopping for engagement rings. He was previously engaged and wants to trade his ex fiances diamond in on my ring- however, I want a moissanite stone. Will a jeweler order this stone and set it in an engagement ring setting, or do I have to order the stone/whole ring? If we buy a diamond we know we can "trade up"- will this still be applicable to the moissanite ring? Thanks for your help!
Yes a regular jeweler can set a moissanite stone in an engagement ring setting. Some may not want to, so you would have to ask around. Setting prices can range from $75.00 to $190.00.
