I was thinking, would I be selling myself short if I told my bf that a Swarovski crystal ring would be sufficient enough for an engagement ring . I don't think it is necessary for him to save all that money to buy me a diamond ring when we need to buy and house and other more important things.
I don't even like diamonds, so that answers that ^-^. But yes, there are far more important things you can spend money on. Not much use in having a beautiful diamond ring when you live in a cardboard box.
