I have an 18k white gold wedding band inscribed from September 1923. what is it worth?
The ring is inscribed " I E.G. to M. M. 9-23-1923" it is 18k white gold. What is the approx. worth?
impossible to tell without seeing it- The price of gold jewelry is dependent upon the purity of the gold used or karat weight, as well as the design and construction of the piece of jewelry. the inscription seems like it the initials of those married. What would dramatically raise the price would be if it was constructed by an exceptional maker or was produced in a rare manner that is otherwise no longer in existence.
The only way to begin tracing the ring would be to find out the names of those married and where they were living and married. That will most likely be where the ring was made and or purchased. once you can find the maker it will be much easier to give a better estimate of value.
